Te Wananga o Aotearoa Gisborne

Re-development of the old Sandown Hotel complex for Te Wananga o Aotearoa, involving alterations and additions to existing buildings and construction of new buildings to provide administration and teaching facilities.

Stage 1: Administration and Education Centre

• Alterations and refurbishment of existing hotel building to accommodate administration office suite and new performing arts studios, music labs and teaching spaces
• Constrution of ne main entrance structure

Stage 2: New Resource Centre
Design and build new multi purpose hall with amenities area and mezzanine teaching space.

Stage 3: New Classrooms
Design and build two new classroom blocks each containing three classrooms.

Stage 4: New Visual Arts Workshops
Design and build new building to house whakairo, weaving and pottery workshops.

Stage 5: Siteworks Upgrade

• Construct new roading and carparking areas
• Provide new external lighting
• Redevelop old garden bar and pool area into outdoor performing arts area
• Upgrade infrastructure
