Te Wananga o Aotearoa Glenview
Te Wananga o Aotearoa National Library and Conference Centre was constructed in six stages. Part of the existing building was occupied by the Client and public throughout the duration of the project.
Stage 1: National Library
Demolition, alterations and additions to existing buildings to create
- Central Library Facility, Board Room, Training Rooms, Mezzanine
- Offices, Amenities
- Approx area 2555m2
- Asbestos removal
- New high voltage power mains and transformer to service entire site
- New low voltage reticulation and distribution boards throughout
- New incoming gas main and upgrade of existing gas reticulation
- New hot water boilers, heat exchangers and reticulation system
- Two new lifts
- Siteworks upgrade
Stage 2: Accommodation & Conference Centre
- Demolition, alterations and additions to existing buildings to create ten new accommodation units, upgraded hotel reception and offices, upgraded conference facilities
- Approx area 1862m2
- Asbestos removal
- One new lift
- Siteworks upgrade
Stage 3: Warehouse & Distribution Centre
- New building approx 295m2
Stage 4: Existing Buildings – Exterior Upgrade
- Plaster existing brick exterior and paint
- Remedials to existing concrete tile roof and recoat
Stage 5: New Bar Facilities
- Replace existing bar facilities and associated service areas with all new services and cabinetry
Stage 6: Existing Accommodation Unit Upgrade
- Asbestos removal, redecoration and complete rewiring and refit of the units
