About Livingstone
Livingstone has been making its mark on the New Zealand Building industry since 1947. Throughout these 60 years of experience the company has undergone continuous development in order to successfully meet its customer’s requirements. Livingstone originally entered the building market as Cavanagh Brothers Limited in 1947, where it was a specialist provider to NZCDC in the dairy industry. Moving forward from this, in 1982 the company became Livingstone Brothers Limited which catered to the commercial and residential needs of the larger Waikato and Bay of Plenty regions. In early 2010, Livingstone confirmed its nationwide presence by changing the company name to Livingstone Building NZ Limited. This recent change successfully reflects Livingstone’s stance in the building industry, servicing all areas throughout New Zealand.
Livingstone is currently steered by Directors David Livingstone, Mike Livingstone and Peter Clarke. The directors take an active role in the day-to-day management and operation of the company, leading by example with a hands-on management approach.
Livingstone combines its expertise with the philosophy of accurately focusing on the customers requirements. This means that long before the first nail goes in, the Livingstone team have started forming their client’s vision into a successful, functional, and breathtaking project. Livingstone has built its excellent reputation by offering all clients a hassle free project period, where projects are completed on time, to budget, and to an exceptional standard. This work ethic has been the foundation of the long standing relationships Livingstone has maintained with many of its customers.
Livingstone is recognised both regionally and nationally for its construction efforts. Primarily Livingstone is known for its reputation in award winning projects throughout the Waikato and Bay of Plenty regions; however, it is also recognised nationwide for its projects in the commercial, industrial, residential and rural markets. In addition to commercial construction, Livingstone also operates a maintenance team which services both the residential and commercial markets.
Everyone in the team, from the apprentices through to the directors, understands the importance of catering to the customers requirements and dreams. Livingstone takes ownership and pride in its project responsibilities by assuring that all staff members work as a strong and proficient team in the office and on site. This mentality allows Livingstone to consistently deliver top quality projects to all of its clients.
