The new Eagars Funerals home is the latest addition to the larger Eagars site, designed as the first point of contact for families and friends as they begin to navigate their loss.

Replacing a converted dwelling, the new building provides a welcoming reception, family and viewing rooms, and quiet spaces to pause, reflect, and spend time.

The design carefully balances residential and commercial contexts, adopting a residential scale and form with materials that reference the nearby chapel. The ground floor houses the public-facing spaces, including reception, family rooms, and a central courtyard that offers light and calm. The first floor accommodates staff offices and facilities, supporting daily operations in a discreet, functional manner.

This project stands out for its exceptional attention to detail and the seamless integration of architecture, materials, and craftsmanship. A natural materials palette creates warmth and connection, while the inclusion of water as an integrated design element introduces calm and reflection, reinforcing the building􀂶s purpose as a place of comfort and contemplation. Every aspect of the design and construction was carefully considered to achieve crisp, refined detailing and a strong sense of continuity between interior and exterior spaces.
