You will be an integral member of a highly innovative project management team that continues to build excellence in our employees and in the construction projects we deliver.
You will have:
• A Carpentry certificate or higher qualification.
• Experience in preparing in-depth construction project methodologies.
• The ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects at once and ensure the continuity of work.
• The ability to read and interpret building and site plans and follow project specifications and timeframes.
• The ability to lead and manage staff including subcontractors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

You must be conversant in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.

If you are a Quantity Surveyor we would be interested in meeting you.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Prepare tenders
• Prepare trade packages and scope of works
• Measuring projects
• Letting of contracts, after reviewing subcontract quotations
• Negotiation with subcontractors
• Managing valuations/variations
• Tender Analysis
• General contract administration
• Attend Site Meetings
• Taking meeting minutes
• Administer progress claims and payments
• Prepare internal cost and project reports
• Reporting information to subcontractors
• Administer and comply with Head Contract Agreement
• Final accounting on completion of contracts

To be considered for this role you must have a relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying.

Site Managers - Waikato, Taranaki, Auckland and Bay of Plenty Region

Site Manager

Livingstone has been Building Excellence within the industrial and commercial sector for over 30 years. During this time the industry has grown immensely and our company with it. We now have multiple vacancies for Site Managers to oversee a variety of new projects that are coming on line soon.
As a site manager you will be responsible for organising all day to day activities on site to ensure our projects are built safely, on time, within budget and to our high standards. This will help you build your skills and experience while working with Livingstone on a range of interesting projects.
To be successful in the role, you will need:
• Trade carpentry qualification
• 5 years’ experience in a hands-on carpentry position
• 2 years’ experience as a site manager
• Ability to lead and manage staff and subcontractors
• Ability to deal with a wide range of clients and subcontractors
• Excellent communication and planning skills
• Ability to foresee and identify risks
• Excellent time managements skills
• Willingness to travel and stay away
You will need to be in a position to pass a pre-employment drug test as well as a criminal conviction check for work in schools and the Department of Corrections.

Health & Safety Advisor Hamilton

Livingstone has been Building Excellence within the industrial and commercial sector for over 30 years. During this time, the construction industry has grown immensely and Livingstone’s Heath & Safety department with it. The time has come for a Health and Safety Advisor to join our team to ensure our organisation’s Health and Safety needs are well supported now and into the future.
You will be jointly responsible for the planning and monitoring of the health and safety for our construction projects, across all our branches in New Zealand. This will involve setting up Site Specific Safety Plans, auditing site activities and documentation, providing Health and Safety advice, managing the training register and inducting new staff. Some travel will be required.
To be successful in the role you will need:
• 3 years’ experience in a Health and Safety position
• Experience working the construction industry
In addition, you will need;
• A Certificate in Health and Safety is preferred
• Sound knowledge of current Health and Safety legislation and management systems.
• Excellent people skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent skills of Microsoft office suite
