Site Manager/Forman - Taranaki

Livingstone has been Building Excellence within the industrial and commercial sector for over 30 years. During this time the industry has grown immensely and our company with it. We now have multiple vacancies for Site Managers to oversee a variety of new projects that are coming on line soon.
As a site manager you will be responsible for organising all day to day activities on site to ensure our projects are built safely, on time, within budget and to our high standards. This will help you build your skills and experience while working with Livingstone on a range of interesting projects.
To be successful in the role, you will need:
• Trade carpentry qualification
• 5 years’ experience in a hands-on carpentry position
• 2 years’ experience as a site manager
• Ability to lead and manage staff and subcontractors
• Ability to deal with a wide range of clients and subcontractors
• Excellent communication and planning skills
• Ability to foresee and identify risks
• Excellent time management skills
• Willingness to travel and stay away
You will need to be in a position to pass a pre-employment drug test as well as a criminal conviction check for work in schools and the Department of Corrections.

Livingstone’s is a homegrown success story, with two Waikato brothers buying a small Te Awamutu business in 1982 and expanding it into a highly respected construction company that operates throughout the country and now has branches in Waikato, New Plymouth, Bay of Plenty and Auckland.

• 10 years’ experience in a Quanity Survey, Project Management or Commercial position
• 5 years’ management experience
• 5 years’ experience working in the construction industry
