The Te Awamutu community was in desperate need of a community based aquatic centre. Both David and Mike Livingstone were instrumental in leading the fundraising strategy and sourced other major sponsors for the Te Awamutu centre. Livingstone then made a significant donation to become the naming rights sponsor.
