We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented QS Cadet to join our growing commercial construction team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone starting their career in quantity surveying to gain hands-on experience across a range of high-quality commercial projects.
About the Role
As a QS Cadet, you will work alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers to support the financial and contractual management of projects from start to finish. You’ll gain practical, on-the-job experience while developing your technical and commercial skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with measuring and pricing of works
- Support preparation of cost estimates and budgets
- Help manage subcontractor procurement and documentation
- Assist with progress claims, variations, and final accounts
- Maintain project cost tracking and reporting
- Support contract administration processes
- Ensure documentation is accurate and up to date
- Currently studying (or recently completed) a qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Eagerness to learn and develop within the construction industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (experience with construction software is a bonus)
