Quantity Surveyor – Taranaki

We're looking for a motivated and solutions focused professional to join our growing team and play a key role in the successful delivery of diverse construction projects.
 
This is an exciting opportunity to work across commercial and residential builds, where your expertise will directly influence outcomes from early estimating through to final accounts.
 
The role
As our Quantity Surveyor, you'll be responsible for managing costs, contracts, and financial performance across multiple projects. You'll work closely with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
 
Applications are encouraged from quantity surveyors of all experience levels.
 
Key responsibilities:
  • Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation
  • Managing procurement, subcontractor negotiations, and contract administration
  • Monitoring project costs, variations, and cash flow
  • Preparing progress claims, forecasts, and final accounts
  • Identifying cost risks and opportunities for value engineering
  • Building strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
The candidate
You're commercially astute, organised, and confident in managing multiple priorities. You enjoy being hands-on, take pride in your accuracy, and communicate clearly with people at all levels.
You'll bring:
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of contracts, cost control, and project financial management
  • Sound experience with software systems like Procore, JobPac and Lentune
  • Strong knowledge of NZS contracts and construction methodologies
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
  • A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
