Bunnings Hamilton South

Location: Hamilton Completed: November 2016

Bunnings has expanded its presence in Hamilton through opening a multi-million-dollar store located on the corner of Kahikatea and Quentin Drive in November 2016.

The site is located on peat, so the building has a structural slab design. The building is formed from 300 tonnes of structural steel, 150 concrete precast panels and 5000 cubic metres of concrete. It has a total floor area of more than 11,340 square metres which includes the main store, indoor timber trade sales area, building materials, a landscape supplies yard and outdoor nursery.

The store has an indoor playground for its younger patrons, a cafe and parking for more than 269 cars. A number of energy and water saving design features have been incorporated in the design, including LED lighting and rainwater tanks used to irrigate the nursery and service amenities.

When all is said and done, we do what we say we are going to do - that is to create a project that exceeds your expectations at every turn.
