New World Howick - Click & Collect

This $1.4M project for Foodstuffs involved the development of an extension and drive-through canopy at New World Howick. The scope of works entailed the creation of a 220m2 building extension dedicated to click-and-collect, including a new undercover customer drive-through. Additionally, a large internal freezer and chiller were installed to handle picking and packing for customer orders. The civil works also included new carpark line marking, landscaping, and garden areas, totalling 920m2 of new infrastructure.

Key to the success of the project was completing the works in a short lead time. It was essential the contract works were completed before December – Foodstuffs’ busiest month of the year. Managing and coordinating sub-contractors was critical to ensure timely completion. The team also worked closely with the client to provide temporary signage to redirect customers during the construction phase.
